- Poker Fun Walk/Run

On Saturday, September 11th, as part of the Bijou Bash at Bijou Community Park located at 1021 Al Tahoe Blvd, the Tahoe Mountain Milers and Sagebrush Stompers Running Clubs and the City of South Lake Tahoe Parks and Recreation Department are putting on a free “poker” fun run/walk. On the approximate 2 mile course there will be 5 stations, each station will hand out a playing card to the participants. Although the event will be timed, prizes will be based on the best poker hand for each division. Times will only be used as a tie breaker in case of equal poker hands. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age division: 10 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49 and 50+. Prizes will be a $20 voucher for 1st, a $10 voucher for second and a $5 voucher for 3rd good for only: public swim times, weight room, open session ice skating or golf at the City of South Lake Tahoe Recreation Complex, Ice Arena or Bijou Golf Course. Registration for this free event will start at 9:45 am and the Poker Fun Run/Walk will begin at 11:00 am.
