Southshore Hikes:
Lam Watah Trail - (EASY 2.2 miles) - Out and back hike/ride. From the Stateline Casinos go north on Hwy 50 about 3/4 mile to Kahle Ln. Take a left at Kahle Ln and park in the small parking lot on the corner of Kahle Ln and Hwy 50. The trailhead begins here and meanders through Lam Watah meadows for approximately 1.1 miles where it ends at Nevada Beach. Dogs are o.k. on the trail so long as they are on a leash. Dogs are not aloud on the beach. This meadow was a popular Washoe camp site and was used from 500 BC to the end of the 19th century. Great place to watch a sunset!
