Clinics & Classes

Lifeguard Training, 1st Aid & CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer  

American Red Cross classes. Upon successful completion earn the following certificates (validation period): Lifeguard Training & First Aid (3 years), CPR/AED for the Pro Rescuer (1 year) and optional Oxygen Administration (1 year). Fees include book, pocket mask and certificates. Attendance mandatory for all class dates and times. Be prepared to swim each day - need sunscreen, water & snack/lunch, hat, towels, swimsuit and dry change of comfy clothes. Optional: Cap and Goggles for practice, but no goggles during final scenarios. Book and Outline available now with paid registration. Space is limited - To avoid cancellation, sign up today.

Cost: $165.00 at sign up and $10.00 (check or cash) the first day of class to the instructor

Pre-requisites: Must be 15 years of age by the last day of class. This is not a learn to swim class, must be a swimmer.

Swimming Pre-skills test: 300 yard swim - 100 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke and 100 combined Free & Breaststroke. Two minute timed 40 yard 10 lb. Brick Retrieval from deep water, swim with brick and exit pool without using steps or ladder.

Note: All California Lifeguards are required to have Title 22 - Advance 1st Aid for Public Safety Personnel. See below for next class session. This class is 16 hours. Cost $25.00. Must have current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer to enroll.

Title 22 ~ 1st Aid for Public Safety Personnel

Certificate valid for 3 years. Title 22 is Mandatory class for ALL California lifeguards. Attendance required for entire class. Students must be prepared before class with completion of reading and study sheets.

Cost: Full payment due at sign up, $20.00 + $5.00 check for the instructor due at the 1st class

Pre-requisites: Current with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

Saturday AM Drop-in Swim Clinics

Coached by Derek Beller and designed for adults, competitive age group swimmers and athletes wishing to improve their techniques. Clinics focus on stroke development, speed improvement and increasing strength. Swimminng ability required. Ages: 14 & older. Maximum of 24 swimmers per date.

Saturdays: 8:00-9:00am           Drop-in: $20.00 per date

CPR/AED 

This BLS course is for the general public, covers Adult, Child & Infant CPR/AED, relief of choking and use of AED. Upon successful completion, receive a 2-year certificate. Manual included in fees.
